Calicut University has delayed the appointment of activist Dr. T. S. Shyamkumar. He was eligible for the appointment made in 2021, and Dr. T. S. Shyamkumar is still waiting for the appointment. The High Court also ordered on May 22, 2025, that the appointment must be made within three months.
