BPR Vithal
- The famous an economist and the member of 10th Finance Commission, Shri B.P.R. Vithal passed away. he was an IAS officer of the 1950 batch and he served as Secretary, Finance and Planning, government of Andhra Pradesh between 1972 and 1982.
- Along with it, he served as fiscal adviser to the governments of Malawi and Sudan at the International Monetary Fund. Vithal played an important role the establishment of Centre for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad.
