Atal Tunnel Certified By World Book Of Records As Longest Highway Tunnel – On February 09, 2022, the World Book of Records has certified Atal Tunnel as the ‘World’s Longest Highway Tunnel above 10,000 Feet’, during a landmark ceremony.
- The award was received by Lt Gen Rajeev Chaudhry, Director General of Border Roads Organisation (DGBR).
- Atal Tunnel has been built using engineering marvel connecting Manali to the Lahaul – Spiti Valley.
- Border Roads Organisation (BRO) constructed The 9.02 km long highway tunnel under the Rohtang Pass on the Leh-Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh.
