AMS Senior Named Scholarships 2024

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) created the senior undergraduate scholarships to honor an individual’s contributions to the sciences. The Scholarship awards will range from $2000 to $10,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Follow the Eligibility Criteria to apply for the program.

• Must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status.
• Must be entering their final year of undergraduate study in the fall of 2024 and provide evidence of acceptance as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. institution at the time of the award.
• Must be pursuing a degree in the atmospheric or related sciences.
• Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale.

Selection Process

Here, check out the process of how students will be selected for the program.

All scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence; some have a particular focus appropriate to the named Honoree. Also, winners will attend the AMS Annual Meeting with partial support (complimentary registration and hotel, no travel cost included) in their senior year.
