The 2+2 Transfer Scholarship is offered to assist and encourage transfer students from Maryland community colleges to attend a 4-year institution within the state. Students are required to be enrolled in an eligible accredited Maryland postsecondary institution. The winning scholarship entry will be provided an award of $1,000. However, this amount can be raised to $2,000 for students who are pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, teaching, science, nursing, or mathematics. The 2+2 Transfer Scholarship will be renewed if the recipient follows the eligibility requirements. The amount covers tuition and mandatory fees for three years of study or six semesters of study, whichever is longer.
